|F-102A||USAF||32 FIS||First group of 8 F-102As arrived at Soesterberg after ferry flight from Wheelus AB, Lybia , with a stop-over at an airfield near Paris, Fr. (probably Toul-Rossieres AB, because 61013 stayed here until 03 Jan 1961)
These 8 aircraft were : 60982, 60993, 60996, 61028, 61029, 61032, 61042 and 61043. All were painted with the red-white-blue tailscheme.
The transition from F-100 to F-102 took place at Wheelus AB. F-102A aircraft were ferried over the Ocean by aircraft carrier, embarked at St.Nazaire, Fr. and flown to Wheelus AB. The first 3 F-102A to arrive there on 12 Aug 1960 were 61002, 61028 and 61029. (TF-102A 41365 was damaged at Wheelus AB on 12 Sep 1960 in a landing accident ; it was repaired here and delivered to the 32nd on 08 Sep 1961)

F-102A 61027 arrived at Soesterberg on 11 Jan 1961 and TF-102A 41363 arrived on 16 Jan 1961.
